Changes to bus routes for Level 2

Due to the increased Health and Safety requirements of Level 2, we have had to make some changes to our bus services. These changes will be in place for the next two weeks, Monday 18 May – Friday 29 May, and will be reviewed after that. Change to Red route

Kia Ora You may be aware that due to changes in the Cambridge-Hamilton bus timetable (https://www.busit.co.nz/bus-alerts/alert/56 ) we have been experiencing challenges with the bus stop on Shakespeare Street.  As always, Health and Safety is of utmost concern for us, and accordingly we have made the decision to move the pick up location for morning and afternoons for the Red bus route.  As from Monday 17 February 2020 Pick up Point C will now be at the corner of Thompson and Burns.  The bus will then travel along Burns Street towards the Elim Church drop off/pick up zone. Back in business!

Our bus is still off the road…

Sadly our school bus is taking considerably longer to repair than first anticipated. This will mean that Deb Oliver will continue to drive the loaned bus next week. Thank you, Deb! A reminder that the slightly altered bus times have begun too. See the route pages for more information.

Changes to route times

Hi all. Thank for your patience as we work through our school bus trial. Please continue to send your comments and questions so that your ideas can be included when the trial is reviewed at the end of term. Just to let you know that our school bus is still at the Drs today.  Fortunately bus routes will remain unchanged however, as Cambridge Travel Lines have kindly loaned us a bus in the interim which Deb Oliver is driving.  Please be aware that the tracking service will not be operational during this time.

Urgent update – 15 November

Sadly our school has broken down and we cannot source another bus for afternoon. Please could we ask you to make alternative arrangements to to collect your children from school this afternoon.  We should be all systems go for Monday with a replacement vehicle, minus the tracker.

Update on school bus trial

Further to our correspondence last term regarding the outcome of our bus service review, we are trialling new bus routes, pick-up and drop-off times. This trial will be in place for the remainder of 2019. The Board of Trustees have endorsed these changes for reasons important to the school and the Board: to improve safety for all, manage capacity and get students to school and back on time. We have concerns about the bus currently having to reverse onto roads, and our bus runs are regularly delayed, which compounds to cause children to arrive late to school, and to stay much
